Graticule offers to create maps of your business data showing the geographical distribution of your contacts in the UK. Maps portray the location of your contacts by postcodes in the UK. Each contact will be shown by a pin, icon or symbol on a map such as a circle, triangle or square. You supply a file of the postcodes of your contacts from your business address database. We use a colour or black and white background map with map overlays for each type of contact. If you wish to differentiate between different types of contacts, you have to supply a file of data for each. We create a different colour, shape or size of icon for each type of contact. For example, one file of postcodes might represent postcoides of retail outlets, another the home postcodes of customers. You can view examples of maps on this page.

The procedure for using Graticule's Mapping Service
- You contact Graticule's sales team to discuss your requirements for creating maps showing your own data. We shall ask you about your data, the geographical area of interest, whether you wish to have a colour background map with different shapes of icons or a black and white background map with colour icons and related issues such as your intended use of the custom map.
- We shall provide a quote for providing this service, delivery date and other information.
- You should send your data to us by email attachment. You might have to perform a query on your contacts database to extract the relevant sub-sets of contacts that you would like represented on maps. For example, if you are in business, you might wish to map the home address of your employees with respect to the address of your offices or outlets or your customers by type of product or service, value of sale, period such as month, quarter or year. If you are an organisation, you might like to map the home address of your patients, pupils or students with respect to an outlet such as a medical practice, school or college.
- We only require a list of the address postcode of each of your contacts. We do not require their names! If you do not have the address postcode in the UK, you should supply only the address which you have and we shall undertake to ascertain the current address postcode in the UK.
- We create maps using the data which you have supplied. We can use for example, different colours of pin or icons on a map to show customers by product, type, value, period or whatever.
- We supply by email Acrobat .pdf files with the maps of your data which you requested. If these are not what you expected, we can modify the maps to meet your specific requirements in terms of geographical area, clarity and other criteria and provide a revised set of maps.
- We will send you our sales invoice for the provision of our custom mapping service. You can pay for the service by bank transfer, major debit or credit cards or company cheque.
