MapClassLib.Net
MapClassLib.Net is a library of classes for vector and raster mapping on computers running 32-bit or 64 bit Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or 7 environments, ASP.NET web-applications and devices running Windows Mobile 5.
MapClassLib is a Dynamic Link Library written in C# for .NET. It enables developers to create custom applications which read vector and raster colour or black and white map data, aerial photographs or satellite images, scroll, change scale, create overlays, create layouts and output images to any device supported by Windows. It also enables developers create applications which allow users to edit, revise, delete, move and manage data files.
MapClassLib.Net software exploits the Microsoft .Net Framework to give developers access to a suite of functions for creating professional mapping applications, prototypes and custom solutions. The library is supplied by electronic download over the Internet and is straight-forward to install and use. It has been used as the basis of many commercial software applications involving high-quality, accurate mapping and locational analysis and location-based services. When used on mobile devices with satellite global positioning systems receivers, it can show current location by a symbol placed on a map overlay and by Longitude and Latidtude co-ordinates in the WSG84 datum. The library is being used to track where a person has been by use drawing tracks on map overlays. Many custom applications have been for niche markets such as orienteering, fell walking, sailing and cycling.
The library was designed and built using Microsoft Visual Studio and C# for .Net 2. It is supplied with an online Manual, tutorial, sample source code and sample map data. Technical support is provided with the MapClassLib. Net for 30 days from date of purchasing a licence.
