The Point_2_StreetAddress UK software and data library is specifically for software developers who aim to provide asset monitoring software solutions using satellite global positioning systems to provide location and time. The main features of the library are that it can be optimised to give fast results, it has the capability to process thousands of GPS records per second, it can record the street,suburb,town, county and postcode of each asset and give the location and time of measurement. It can record the location and time at specified intervals such as every two or three minutes. It gives the location of each asset fitted with a satellite GPS receiver as an ASCII text record in comma separated value format. You can read through the list of addresses which reveal where an asset has been. You can track its travel by streets, suburbs, towns, counties and postcodes. The individual records can be compressed and archived in a way which achieves compression but gives fast access to an asset when tracking is required. The software runs on Linux or Windows plaforms. Data can be stored in an object database management system to facilitate rapid access to all records.
