Graticule MapClassLib .NET Class Library

The MapClassLib.Net is a library of functions for vector and raster mapping on computers running Microsoft Windows XP., Vista or 7 environments, ASP.NET web-applications and hand-held mobile devices running Windows Mobile 6. MapClassLib.NET lets developers create applications which allow users to read vector and raster colour or black and white map data files, scroll over maps, change the scale of maps, create map overlays,create map layouts and output these to any device supported by Windows. It also lets developers create applications which allow users to edit, revise, delete, move and manage data files.

The MapClassLib.Net library is a class library which exploits Microsoft .Net Framework to give developers access to a suite of functions for creating professional mapping applications, prototypes and custom solutions. The library is relatively easy to install and use and has formed the basis of many commercial software applications involving high-quality accurate mapping and locational analysis. When used on mobile devices with satellite global positioning systems receivers, it can provide maps with current positions shown by a symbol on a map and can track where a person has been by use of linear symbols on map overlays. Several custom applications have been for niche markets such as orienteering, fell walking, sailing and cycling. Some appliations have been linked to other applications such as Microsoft Access database and Excel spreadsheets on desktop and mobile devices.
