Navteq Vector Roads is derived from the complete Navteq mapping dataset and provides seamless road mapping for Australia, it omits some streets and unclassified roads to provide a strategic road network for Australia. Included in this dataset are population counts attached to place names, elevation contours and some building lines. Navteq Vector Roads is designed for in-car navigation and so it is constantly updated and extensively verified and checked by Navteq's field officers. Graticule provide Navteq Base Streets at a scale of 1:10,000, with a place-name gazetteer included. This vector map data can be used for feature mapping in geographical information systems and allied software applications. Base Streets has a range of cartographic features for navigation, routing and scheduling of deliveries or pickups including streets, roads, water features, railways and points of interest such as shops, airports, golf courses, industrial areas, cemeteries, universities and sports grounds. Base Streets offers high-quality, up-to-date maps of street networks in towns with connections to road networks throughout Australia and/or New Zealand. This vector map data is currently being used for vehicle routing, tracking, navigation and delivery or pickup scheduling optimisation. Navteq Standard Streets Data of Australia and/or New Zealand includes all of the features in the Navteq Base Streets Data but also includes map features such as train stations, hospitals, petrol stations, cinemas and other features. The Navteq Premium Streets vector map data of Australia and/or New Zealand includes all of the features in the Navteq Standard Streets product but includes comprehensive detail of vehicle speeds and other driving restrictions, such as one way streets, access restrictions, road tolls and related data about the types of vehicle to which road restrictions apply. Premium Streets is aimed particularly are road freight hauliers with fleets of vehicles working in Australia/New Zealand. Graticule provide MLD Satellite Imagery for Australia and New Zealand at a resolution of 60 cm and it is supplied ortho-rectified, colour matched and tiled, making it simple to put to use in a GIS system. The street level data included in this street gazetteer contains details to help minimise ambiguity which arises from more than one street having the same name.
