Overview

MapClassLib.NET is an object-oriented class library for vector and raster colour mapping in Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 run-time environments including desktop, ASP.NET web applications and hand-held, mobile devices including Windows Mobile 6.

The MapClassLib.NET mapping component lets developers create custom mapping applications with concise programming instructions and reduced time to market. Developers can use MapClassLib.NET in their preferred development environment and programming language such as Visual Basic, C#, C++, Delphi, etc. MapClassLib.NET exploits the class libraries and other resources in Microsoft's .NET Framework 3.5 technology to offer a flexible, reliable and effective toolkit for rapid application development of prototypes and custom mapping solutions.

MapClassLib.NET includes a neat set of classes for map display. Developers can use these with a few instructions yet provide end-users with modern capabilities for import of multi-layer vector and raster map data, scroll or pan, change of scale or zoom and query of locations and objects in maps. Develeopers have access to functions for edit or revise, delete, move and manage data files, merge map layers, create map layouts and output these to any device support by Windows, save to file or capture screens as images for use in presentations and reports.

MapClassLib DataPrep Tool
- The DataPrep Tool is for importing data in Shapefile (.shp), MapInfo MIF (.mif) and TIFF (.tif) files to the internal MapClassLib format. The importer converts these files into Graticule Map Sheet (.gmsh) files and then allows numerous customisation features to prepare the data for your MapClassLib based applications.
