Collins Bartholomew supply small-scale digital maps of Europe up to 32° East at different scales, with different map content and in a single map projection and datum. The digital maps are high-quality, colour representations of major features at map scales of 1:5,000,000, 1:10,000,00 and 1:20,000,000. The attractive, consistent and accurate set of digital maps are available for use on websites, in software applications for geographical information systems and for showing the location of business activities, assets, outlets, etc.
The sets of European digital map data are supplied in raster or grid map tiles or as feature map layers in vector format. The map tiles and features sets fit together perfectly to provide continuous, consistent map coverage of the Europe.
Collins Bartholomew are a leading cartographic publishing group with a long history and distinguished record of publishing maps of the world and its regions. They revise the digital map data periodically, have a comprehensive programme of systematic revision and a high standard of cartographic design and production. Their digital colour maps provide a continuous, comprehensive set of map data over Europe and provide the basis for diverse applications for education, business, government and research. They show the geographical distributions features including countries and coastlines and many applications involve showing the distribution of business activities on map overlays. These include for example portraying the distributions of business outlets, suppliers, dealers, etc. by colour icons superimposed on digital maps.
The map data includes: Administrative Boundaries (International boundaries and first order internal boundaries, including detailed coastlines), Contours, Deserts, Distances, Drainage, Forest Parks, Heights, Lines, National Parks, Points (including oil wells, oases and tunnel mouths), Roads, Reserves, Rail/Ferries, Regional Parks, Sands, Scenic Areas, Towns, Text, Urban, Water and Woodland.
The European sets of digital map data are available in vector format (with individual layers representing different topographic features such as rivers, railways, forests, etc. and being available together or separately) or as a grid or raster colour map image. Selected regions are available if you only require one country or a small group of countries rather than the whole of Western Europe.

Andes supplies grid or raster maps at several different scales from Level 1 (1:7,000) to Level 5 (1:500,000). You can license digital map data at a chosen map scale or level and you will also be given map data at the higher levels as well. This means that you will probably have Andes European raster map data at more than one scale or level. Such digital map data at different map scales can be used in software mapping applications which require zooming-in or zooming-out and maps at different scales. The Andes European digital raster map data is derived from, and are fully compatible with, the Navteq vector map data. The Andes data at level 1 includes street and road names, urban areas, water courses, woodlands, etc. It is currently widely used for tracking vehicles using satellite global positioning system receivers in vehicles nad some form of communication to give the location of each vehicle on maps of the road network of Europe.

AA Pan-European 1:1 million digital map data is available in both grid or raster and feature layer or vector formats. The vector data contains 37 layers. The vector map data layers are available together or you can select the layers which are most relevant to your requirements. For example, the roads and contour vector map data layers are available separately for vehicle tracking, route finding and logistics scheduling. There is AA map data coverage for 48 countries. This is essentially map coverage for the whole of Europe, or for East or West Europe separately. The AA vector digital map data is available for each country.

Digital map data for Ireland (Eire) at 1:100,000 scale includes towns, roads, rivers, coastline, railways, county boundaries and key points of interest. It includes many rural roads. It is provided in the Irish National Grid and Irish Transverse Mercator projection. Northern Ireland available as a separate set of data if required. The Mapflow map data is available in as feature map layers in vector format or as grid or raster image data.
Detailed street level map data is available for 59 Irish towns and cities at 1:10,000 scale. StreetNet Professional includes railway lines, water features, points of interest and coastal outlines while StreetNet Navigator includes speed limits and some road restrictions such as U-turn restrictions for all roads - for use in road routing applications. Available as both feature map layers in vector format and grid or raster 1:10,000 scale map tiles.

Highly detailed vector street maps from Navteq are created by mapping specialists who continually drive the mapped roads to check for changes, making these the most accurate map data available on the market. Suitable for use as highly detailed background maps requiring detail even at very large scales, the Navteq data is also ideal for routing applications.
Available at Base, Standard and Premium levels. In addition to all recorded roads and streets, Base level maps include administrative areas and borders, water features, railways and a full gazetteer of points-of-interest. Standard level maps include even more points-of-interest as well as address ranges. Premium level maps add include full navigational details, with one way streets, restrictions to certain vehicles and toll booths.
Additional datasets can be added including to these layers including the locations of road speed signs as well as truck and hazardous materials restrictions (only available for certain countries).
Navteq data is also available at 'road level' which removes certain minor and rural roads but retains the highly detailed main road data. It offers the same level of accuracy for applications where full street coverage is not required.

Gazetteer Data
- Includes coverage of all European countries, as well as many island chains, including The Canary Islands and the Azores. The Russian Federation is included up until the Ural mountains.
- Includes Latitude and Longitude co-ordinates for all points as well as over a dozen attributes.
- Names are provided in original form, common English form and other common language variants where applicable.
- Country of location is enhanced by first and second order administrative regions (eg. Counties) where available, and includes the international ISO codes.
- Feature type is specified in text and numerical formats for all entries, including settlement classifications.
- Heights for over 12,000 hills and populations for over 25,000 towns are also included.
- Europe Locator is supplied as a standard ASCII CSV file.
