Graticule is an independent, privately owned software engineering company based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. We specialise in designing and marketing software components for desktop, Internet and mobile mapping, route finding, distance calculations, and geographical information systems. We offer software design, specification, implementation and maintenance services, in addition to creating custom solutions to meet your requirements - often using our own components.

Custom solutions have been tailored to meet the requirements of all types of mapping, such as producing street map directories, data-capture, GIS systems, optimising sales/service territories, mapping the location of postcodes, and many more. Other solutions involve decision support systems, database management systems, telecommunications, fleet vehicle management and postcode address management. "Information from Location" is our goal, and the information derived from this can be used in business, commerce, industry and research.

Founded in 1990, Graticule has established a global reputation for its software components for application developers. One of the pioneers in developing toolkits for mapping in Microsoft Windows 3, Graticule continues to sell components for mapping, map transformation, route finding, distance calculations, network analysis, decoding data from satellite GPS receivers, postcode mapping, postcode analysis, thematic mapping and telecommunications. With products for Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP, Microsoft Windows CE/Pocket PC 2002/2003 and Java environments, our customers are chiefly application developers around the world. Our products assist developers in saving time and effort by negating the need for them to "re-invent the wheel", in addition to being highly cost effective and reducing the time taken to market.

Graticule designs and markets a series of end-user applications for deriving information from locations. Graticule has created applications for mapping, route finding, drive-time analysis, vehicle fleet management and postcode analysis. Postcode Analyst maps locations of customers/outlets/pupils/patients, etc by postcode. Other applications include postcode-to-postcode distance calculators and real-time vehicle tracking software solutions.

Graticule has designed and developed custom software solutions for many customers around the world. Customers include Harper-Collins, Ford, Singapore Power, Hyundai, Siemens, Logica, Excel, Experian, Raytheon, Maersk, The London Ambulance Service and many schools, colleges, universities and government departments at local, regional and national levels. Graticule also participated in a several EU Framework IV/V projects.
