There are a number of very powerful features and tools available within PostcodeAnalyst 3. This page covers some of the standard functions that are in use everyday by many of our clients. They are aimed to provide you with ideas on how PostcodeAnalyst 3 can help improve your business.- Importing and Plotting Icons
- Import data straight from an MS Excel or Access, or a .csv file.
- Import data straight from a database (with Telemappix plug-in)
- Supports over a million individual mapped icons onscreen at any time.
- No data formatting required, just a column containing the postcode
- Vary colour, size and style of icons based on other fields in the database
- Icons are plotted automatically across the maps
- Once imported you can:
- Switch icon overlays on and off for a clear view
- Query individual icons to view the other fields of data contained within
- Manually move, add or delete icons
- Count icons in customised regions and bulk change styles
- Thematic Mapping
- Create thematic maps based on postcode boundaries or customised regions
- Count number of icons in each region
- Count the sum of a database field in each region (eg. the total sales for customers)
- Choose a colour scheme or create your own
- View a count of the total sum for each region
- Add more functionality with the GeoDemoGraphix plug-in
- Alter the mathematics behind the colouring to balanced skewed data
- Created thematic maps based on two fields of data and display the change (eg. two year's sales figures)
- Create pie charts comparing multiple fields of data on a map
- Territory Maps
- Create Territory maps with a simple point and click function
- Create maps based on postcode areas, districts or sectors
- Assign a name and colour (or pattern) to each different territory
- No limit to the number of different territories
- Create and save multiple territory maps
- Use the Territory Maps to:
- Create Thematic maps based on the territory regions (letting you directly compare sales figures between different territories)
- Export a list of customers with the relevant territory name attached
- Customise Maps
- Zoom in and out from the whole country to a single icon
- Turn icon, territory or thematic map layers on or off
- Collins Batholomew Maps at 1:200,000 scale and above for Great Britain and Northern Ireland avaliable.
- Select between colour and black and white background maps
- Postcode Area, District and Sector boundaries, names and centre-points
- Flexibly choose colours and sizes for postcode map boundaries
- Optionally add higher detail street level data or other map types
- Print and Export
- Fully customise your map before printing to get exactly what you want
- Create high resolution images using the 'screenshot' function within PostcodeAnalyst
- Print maps directly or with relevant drivers generate PDF files
- Export data to CSV files for backup, re-distribution or database storage with additional information from PostcodeAnalyst
