Graticule announces AptMap, its new integrated suite of software applications for mapping, modelling, forecasting and analysis using geographical and other data about features, resources, people, activities and change.

Graticule's AptMap Vision, the first of a suite of applications, will be released in August 2010 with functions for high-quality mapping and spatial analysis. AptMap Vision has a range of functions, it lets you plot your own data on maps and is easy to learn and use. It lets you use your preferred type, content and scale of map data, gazetteers, postcode data, digital aerial and remote sensing images and digital terrain models. It runs on multiple computer platforms including Windows, Linux and Apple Mac.
Users of the AptMap Vision application will be able to select and use data from the Ordnance Survey including Mini-Scale, 1/250,000 and 1/10,000 scale maps covering the whole or parts of Great Britain.
The AptMap Vision application lets you exploit the wealth of geographical and other data which has become available under the Open Data policy of the UK government. This data includes census, statistical, transport, housing, business, economic, health, poverty and other socio-economic data and environmental, agricultural, forestry, water and climatic data.
